So…let me get this right.
There are actually still people out there who are not at all aware of how the Nutrition Facts labels work? That it’s up to YOU to read the label closely before you decide to purchase or consume said item?
It’s not “fine print,” lady. It’s the same print as most of the rest of the text on the package. Small bags of chips, frozen food, candy - they all do this exact same thing, and it’s up to you to determine whether you want to consume said product.
Look, I can agree with the argument that perhaps there’s too much sugar, and perhaps it’s stupid that companies package more than a single serving into one “convenient” package for us. But it’s a double-edged sword. Serving sizes of most products would be deemed “too small”, so I suppose at least they throw both of the servings I’d eat into a single package. But it’s not exactly a “new” practice, and anyone that is shocked about the fact that it happens must have been living under a rock since we started using these labels.
Shocked, I tell you. Shocked.
